“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the
fairest, the most beautiful of them all?” asked the queen.
“Aye, Your
Highness. You are the fairest of them all, but the one most beautiful would be Raven Black, your stepchild.” answered the
mirror truthfully. The queen was enraged. Raven
Black?
“Are you sure about that, mirror? A person such
as Raven Black?” She asked again, asking for confirmation. “That foul mouthed,
unsophisticated Raven Black?” The
mirror was silent for a while, before it spoke again. “Even with that…unacceptable attitude, Raven Black still
is the most beautiful of all, Your
Highness.”
The queen started
to bite her nail. Raven Black… that
abominable child! She thought it was unfair. Hair as black as raven, eyes as
dark as night, skin as fair as cream, and lips cherry pink… Raven Black was not
even a woman! Raven Black was a prince! How
in the world can a man be more
beautiful than a woman? Especially a
prince! Something needed to be done
here…. But before that, there was something she wanted to ask.
“…Mirror, answer
me truthfully.” The queen glared at
her mirror. The mirror, scared of its master’s glare, stuttered. “Wh-what is
it, Your Highness?”
“…You’re not gay, right?” She asked.
“………..I’m not
even a living thing, Your Highness.”
