Prince Ludwig Finneus Colton couldn't quite believe his eyes. What was a princess, no, more importantly, a girl, doing in the middle of the forest, sleeping? He could swear he will scold her like there was no tomorrow if he was in the position to.
But right now, they weren't even introduced to each other, and it'd be rude for a mere stranger to scold a princess. He might even get his head chopped if he really did that.
Luckily a maid, probably her lady-in-waiting, came for her. She was screaming something as she walked toward the princess.
"Princess Ruanna!! Gosh, of all places in the castle, you chose this place to sleep?!"
That was hysterical, thought Lui. Then he saw the princess opened her eyes. It was a beautiful deep green ocean color. Lui thought his face colored a little. Princess Ruanna looked just like a doll.
".....Ramia," Ruanna called her lady-in-waiting. She was expressionless, just like a doll. Ramia doesn't look like she heard the princess calling her, though, as she kept on talking.
"...And I even told you earlier that Prince Ludwig from Colt Empire will come today, so you must look your best. But look at you! I wasted my time dolling you up." She writhed on agony as she pointed the half-messed clothes and the hair filled with weeds and fallen leaves. Ruanna just stood there, staring at her lady-in-waiting.
"I don't have time to fix you another dress, since I heard the prince has arrived already." Ramia sighed. "Good thing you're beautiful, princess. Even without make-ups you'll look pretty enough. All we have to do right now is to fix that hair of yours. Gosh, it's filled with leaves! Did you play in the bushes again?" Ramia laughed as she got the fallen leaves off from her princess's hair.
"Piero was hiding in the bushes, I have to get him out from that." Ruanna said, her voice monotonous.
"Come to think of it, where's that kitten has gone off to? He was such a naughty little thing!" Ramia walked around, searching for the little kitten."He went to my room today and stole one of my precious Eclairs! And I was saving it to eat later..." She muttered as she walked towards the castle. Ruanna stayed at the spot she was standing on, staring blankly at Ramia.
"What are you doing, princess? Don't just stand there. Let's go now. We have to greet the prince,"
Ruanna just nodded. Then she heard the sounds of kitten mewing. When she turned back, a black little kitten walked innocently towards Ruanna. When the little feline looked up, there's a white teardrop shaped line under his left eye. He looked like a little clown.
"You little pierrot, hiding from Ramia?" Ruanna said as she sat down, taking her little feline up from the grass. The kitten mewed at his mistress, as if saying; "If I don't hide, she'll kill me!"
"Who told you to stole her Eclairs? You know she worked her butt of just for us, so you shouldn't be naughty to her, okay?" Ruanna's brows frowned as she scolded her little kitten. Piero purred cutely, as if he understood what his princess was saying.
"Let's go, Piero? I'll make sure Ramia won't hurt you, so you must make amends with her. You got it?" Piero nuzzled his face on his mistress cheek. "Hmm, good boy," Ruanna said as she kissed her kitten's nose.
Then she heard a big rustling sound and a WHUMP!
'What was that?' Ruanna and Piero stared at each other.

"Owowoww...." Lui rubbed his head. He didn't expect to fall headfirst on the ground. He had slipped from the tree trunk he was sitting on.
Just before, Lui swore he saw Runna's lips curved to form a smile. And now his heartbeat rate suddenly went up very fast.
"...What was that?" He asked himself. His face beet red.
"Yes, what was that?" Lui thought his heart was gonna jump out from his body. Ruanna was standing in front of him, angry even though her expression doesn't look like it.
"Who are you? You didn't look like a native," Ruanna asked after she scanned at Lui's clothes. Lui laughed a pained laugh. What a way to make your first impression...
He quickly get up, then he dusted off some dust that got on his clothes. "Sorry for that, princess. I didn't mean to startle you. You see, I lost my footing and suddenly slipped here." He smiled foolishly.
"Speak. Who are you?" Ruanna asked again. Lui smiled.
"Nice to meet you, princess. I'm Lui, Prince Ludwig's attendant."
