Rabenschwarzes : Part 3

This person’s cursed. If you kill him, the curse will befall on you.

The queen’s hands trembled as she read the letter given to her by the huntsman. ‘Even after death, you’ll still do something this annoying, Raven Black!’ She was seething with anger by now. She turned her head to look at the huntsman, then questioned; “He really gave you this?” She showed him the letter in her hands.

The huntsman, surprised, just nodded quickly. Even when it was not the first time he met the queen, she still surprised him. He thought evil queens, especially the stepmother type were supposed to be calm and collected on the outside, but evil and vain on the inside. Like a psychopath. But she just acted like a normal person with temper and jealous issues. Not that he was complaining though, as long as his body uninjured and his soul intact. “Oh, look. There’s something more written here.” She lifted the letter and started to read loudly.

P/S : Next time you wanna kill someone, find a really skilled assassin or try doing it yourself. This one was such a wimpy, wussy chicken, I had to kill myself because of pity for him. He was such a bore--!!!

The queen was half shouting as she read it. She turned her head to look at the huntsman and he flinched greatly. He felt like he just met eye-to-eye with a monster or a demoness. Her glare would be his nightmare tonight, he thought. Then, surprisingly, the queen just sighed.

“Well, whatever. You’ve made sure he’s dead, right? Show me the proof,” She ordered. The huntsman unsheathed his sword, and the once red blood was still on the blade. The queen took a long look at the bloody sword and nodded. “Good, now go and wash that thing. The sight of that hated prince’s blood is sickening me. You may leave,” She waved at him haughtily, looking bored.

And just like that, the huntsman was left and thrown out from the queen’s sight without any harm done towards him at all. Somehow the huntsman left the castle with an empty, or a confused feeling.

Was thing really was supposed to be like this?’ He questioned himself. Then he just shrugged. “…All’s well that ends well, I guess. Should I use the money to buy some food?” He said to himself as he walked toward the city gate, still feeling that somehow, something was quite not right.
